This past Spring, we spoke with John Eddings, a returning citizen who spent
forty years in prison, from 1973 to 2013. Today, he works as a secretary for Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, and he goes back into prison once a week to work with prisoners in the Dr. Regina B. Shearn Corrections Transition Program. We are grateful to John for sharing his experience in prison, his experience returning and what he wants students to know about how to reform the prison system.
